Dear Group (especially Joseph):
The burial record literally reads as follows:
"Manuel Castañeda Adulto del Salto de los Romeros, H.L. (Hijo Legítimo)
+ Limosna
. . . Lorenzo del Muro (rúbrica) . . . Ygnacio Suárez (rúbrica)."
The notary priest was about to make a mistake regarding Manuel Castañeda's ALREADY dead wife. Notice he wrote that he was married to María Melchora Miramontes first, but then he later corrects himself and says

Hi Joseph, here is my translation: the 2nd word in parenthesis is "espresada"; meaning the "above named/referenced". The word before viudo is "estado"; meaning "marital status". Hi Joseph--
Okay, here's my take:
The word before viudo looks like "cual," and I think that the second word in the parentheses is "cruxisada" (?), which may refer to the cross and note on the left side. I could be wrong, though-- this is just my opinion. Hope this helps.

Hello Roseholly, **I am also researching the surnames of Gaeta and Huizar, along with the spelling variations (or spelling mistakes) which include, Gueta, Huisar, Guisar, Guizar. **I am currently looking into two different Gaeta families and two different Huizar families. The two different Gaeta families are probably related but I have not found the link yet, likewise for the two different Huizar families. **I was looking over your genealogy file and found some names that I recognized. The first was Martina Cardenas married to Angel Lopez. Martina is the sister of my great-great-grandmother. Martina's paternal grandmother was Ana Maria Gaeta, one of the Gaeta Lines I am following. I am not sure if Martina's family is one of the families you are following but just in case it was, I have included her christening information, marriage information, and the christening information for seven of her children. See below: Martina CARDENAS ABILA Sex: F Event(s)

Deena; I was your nice offer to do a lookup for
Nochistlan. I wonder if you have a marrage for a Francisco Macias and Leonarda Ranirez for around 1845 to 1849. Their son Francisco was born in 1879 and I am not sure if he was their 1st born or their last born so I am guessing about their marrage dates. I have their son born in Jerez, Zacatecas and am wondering if they may have come from there of Jerez and the records may be in Nichistlan. Thankyou,
Jose Luis Macias

instead of the Yahoo email address you got when you signed up.
So if you want to change your place where you receive your emails here
how to do it:
go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/ at the top right click on "Sign In" now enter your ID and Password
now you should be successfully logged in [you'll know that because it
will not say "Welcome Guest" but say "Welcome You" at the left top]. . .
. . .now that you are successfully logged in click on Account Info at
the top right
at this point it might ask for your Password agaiin. . . .don't argue
just give it to them
Under "Member Information" click on "Edit"
on this page where it says Alternate Email 1 (Primary) put your email
address of choice
click on "Finished" when you are finished. thats it. see how easy. any questions??? ask me via private email. joseph makas@...
I've just entered my films that I have at my local Family History Center
on permanent hold. Some are ordered and should be here soon. If anyone
need a "specific" look up I'd be glad to do it unless you need it in a
hurry.
Just send me the specific date and who your are trying to find and I'll
do my best. . .sorry I can't just scroll through the film looking for
people, I barely have enough time to do this on a limited basis for myself.
thanks, joseph
ps: now if anyone else would like to do this just send me your list of
films and I'll make up a folder for you in the files section.
