family? I have traced my Romero's back to Serapio Romero, b. about
1820 in Tepatitlan de Morelos, Jalisco who married Petra Pena. I'm
looking for his parents and where they came from. My GEDCOM is
listed in Ranchos.

Yes, I do have more information on Francisco Xavier ROMERO. He and his first wife are my 7th great-grandparents. They originally lived in Durango and then moved to Colotlan, Jalisco in the 1740's. Here is his family information from both his first and second wife.

Francisco Xavier ROMERO married (1) Francisca NORIEGA ALDANA daughter of Francisco DE NORIEGA and Luisa DE ALDANA DE LA RUA on 11 Feb 1703 in El Sagrario Metropolitano, Victoria De Durango, Durango, Mexico. Francisca was christened on 23 Oct 1672 in El Sagrario Metropolitano, Victoria De Durango, Durango, Mexico.

They had the following children:
i. Petronila Maria de los Dolores ROMERO NORIEGA was christened on 27 Jan 1704 in El Sagrario Metropolitano, Victoria De Durango, Durango, Mexico.
ii. Lorenso Hipolito ROMERO NORIEGA was christened on 29 Aug 1707 in El Sagrario Metropolitano, Victoria De Durango, Durango, Mexico.
iii. Dominga Maria ROMERO NORIEGA was christened on 23 Aug 1710 in El Sagrario Metropolitano
